Leadership

Croatian national golf team is, in all activities, governed by a national golf team leadership which is composed of a national team leader and a national team selector. Professional and expert part of job is executed, jointly and equally, by national team leader and national team selector. Administrative, organizational and logistic affairs are governed by national team leader. CGF Board of Directors Chairman is, ex officio, leader of all national teams and he personally appoints selector of all national teams.

Dino KLISOVIĆ

Leader of all national teams

Dino Klisović (b. 1970) was a leader of all CGF national golf teams from the spring of 1997 until the end of 2007 and is, again, from 20 April 2010 onwards. As a head of delegation he led Croatian national golf teams on twenty three (out of twenty five in total) of its official competitions including, among others, six World Amateur Team Championships, two European Amateur Team Championships and three Mediterranean games. He was a project manager and main organizer of all national team participations on its official competitions in the past except World Amateur Team Championships 2008. Because of his efforts level of national teams activities reached very high level and all the players were granted best possible conditions according their preparations and competitions on the main international tournaments. Together with long time national team selector Božidar Ivačić he established firm principles according players selection and assured its coherent implementation. In several cases, beside being head of delegation, he also performed a duty of a national team captain. National team leader is well known as a firm and consistent governor of all national teams but also for his snap actions and assumption of responsibility during most difficult moments.

Božidar IVAČIĆ

Selector of all national teams

Božidar Ivačić (b. 1942) was a selector of all CGF national teams from 23 April 1996 until 16 May 2008 and is, again, from 20 April 2010 onwards. As a player he played on the World Amateur Team Championship 1998, on the European Amateur Team Championship 1997 and on the EGA Challenge Trophy 2002. As a national team captain he participated on the World Amateur Team Championships 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006, on the European Amateur Team Championship 1999 and 2001 and on the EGA Challenge Trophy 2007. As a great expert and professional authority and as a person who plays golf for the longest time in Croatia, in permanent cooperation with a national team leader, he gave huge contribution towards establishing and implementing principles and criterias upon which national team players were selected. Selector of all national teams is known, inspite big difference in age, for his informal approach and close relations to players.
