Doyen
National team doyen is a protocolar status which belongs to a national team member who, in a capacity of a player, has most official appearances. Appearances in a capacity of a team captain, coach and head of delegation does not count. In a case that two players have equal number of official appearances advantage has the one who made first official appearance earlier or, if still tied, the elder player counting their age. Anyhow, national team doyen must have at least five official appearances.

National team doyen
Nikola Kovačević, in his national team career which currently lasts for nine long years, achieved eleven official appearances for Croatian national golf team. First time he played for national team on 29 June 1999 in Como on the European Amateur Team Championship. In a period from 1999 until 2007 out of twelve official national team competitions he participated on eleven of them excluding only World Amateur Team Championship 2004. Best round in his official appearances he made on the EGA Challenge Trophy in Ptuj in 2006 when he played second round in 78 strokes.
